TripActions has become an invaluable tool for businesses and individuals alike, providing a user-friendly platform for all their travel needs. Users have utilized the software to research and purchase flights, hotel rooms, and car rentals for both business and personal travel. The platform has addressed the need for a dedicated travel coordinator and eliminated the hassle of accessing multiple travel and hotel sites.

Businesses across various departments, including sales, management, and government sales, have benefited from TripActions. By empowering employees to manage their own business travel, the software has not only saved companies significant costs in their Travel & Expense budget but also fostered a sense of responsibility in finding cheaper options. Additionally, users have praised the interactive support, alerts, and historic log features that make booking airfare, hotels, and car rentals efficient and stress-free. Furthermore, administrators have found value in the ability to book trips for senior leadership while still allowing employees to have control over their own travel arrangements.

The software has provided seamless experiences when it comes to changing flights or receiving support from the customer service team. With an organized view of all travel plans, users can easily track expenses and share bookings with coworkers, simplifying coordination efforts. TripActions has also integrated with personal rewards programs and expense systems, ensuring that all travel-related information is centralized in one place. This has not only streamlined the booking process but also facilitated expense reporting and reduced errors in departure cities.

Furthermore, TripActions has extended its benefits beyond just business travel. Employees have been able to use the platform to book personal trips as well. With competitive pricing on hotels and flights, users appreciate the convenience of having a go-to tool that offers discounts without requiring them to disclose personal information.

Overall, TripActions has proved to be a game-changer for organizations by simplifying trip planning and collaboration while promoting cost-saving decisions. For individuals, it has offered a convenient solution for booking and organizing itineraries for both work and personal travel purposes. From the seamless user interface to the excellent customer support, TripActions has become the preferred choice for many when it comes to travel bookings.

User-Friendly Interface: Many users have praised Navan for its exceptionally user-friendly and intuitive interface, making it effortless to book trips and manage itineraries. The simple and intuitive design of the software contributes to a smooth user experience.

Customization Options: Users appreciate Navan's use of filters that allow them to tailor trips to their personal preferences. These filters include departure time, airline, and location, providing a flexible and personalized travel experience.

Efficient Customer Support: Navan's customer support has received positive feedback from users who describe it as prompt and helpful in resolving flight issues. The responsive and effective assistance provided by the support team ensures a high level of customer satisfaction.

Merging Personal and Business Travel: Some users have expressed dissatisfaction with the merging of personal and business travel under a single trip in Navan. They feel that this approach is not ideal, especially when there is a service fee for personal travel. These users believe that the platform's primary focus on business travel makes this feature less beneficial.

Quoted Rate Availability: Users have encountered difficulties when booking trips in Navan due to instances where the quoted rate for a trip was no longer available. This inconsistency in pricing has led to frustration among some users who expected to book at the originally quoted price.

Limited Partnerships with Major Airlines: Some users have noted that Navan has limited partnerships with major airlines, which they find lacking. These users believe that the platform should expand its partnerships more efficiently to offer a wider range of flight options and improve their overall experience.

Users commonly recommend the following for TripActions:

  1. Booking Travel and Rewards: Users recommend using TripActions for travel booking and rewards, including booking trips from an EU-account for cheaper prices. They also like the Amazon gift cards as incentives and appreciate the benefits of the platform.

  2. Easy to Use and Support: Many users find TripActions easy to use and navigate, both on desktop and through the mobile app. They appreciate the intuitive user interface and commend TripActions' customer service, describing it as a strong contender in terms of usability and support.

  3. Cost Savings and Employee Motivation: Users suggest using TripActions to save money for the company and employees' time. They highly recommend taking advantage of the Amazon Rewards perks and fast customer service. However, they do advise double-checking trips for any inconveniences that may make the Amazon reimbursement not worth it.

Overall, users recommend TripActions for its visibility, analytics, ease of use, benefits, customer service, and cost savings potential.

At first, Navan (TripActions) was amazing. Managing company expenses internally became easier and faster. However, we felt like it had too much for us. We tried to leave Navan, turned off all our employees physical cards and deleted every user account except for our accountants and C-suites. After we requested to close out our account, we never heard back despite reaching out 4 times. Then we started seeing charges to our employees' cards that we had deactivated. Does it make sense that deactivated cards are being used to make thousands of dollars worth of transactions? When we addressed this issue, Navan said our account manager will be in touch (who was supposed to be in touch when we requested to close our account). It's been 6 months since we first requested the close and we still haven't heard from anyone; our cards that are "deactivated" are still seeing transactions even after we removed the cards from every vendor. Please use another provider such as Brex for your company.
If you're an admin at a company and not expecting to stay with Navan for years, don't use it.

TripActions is used to research and purchase flights and hotel rooms for our business (and sometimes personal) travel. The platform is used primarily by the company's domestic, international, and government sales departments, as well as company management. The business problems TripActions addresses are the need to canvas multiple travel and hotel sites, as well as needing a dedicated travel coordinator to manage all travel needs for company employees.
  • Competitive hotel rates
  • Competitive airline rates
  • Consideration of personal travel
  • Merging personal and business travel under a single "trip"
  • Service fee for personal travel seems ill advised when the platform benefits from business travel
  • There was at least one occasion when quoted rate could not be booked as it was no longer available.
A specific scenario where TripActions was well suited was when I needed to book a hotel stay in Cologne, Germany for multiple colleagues. The fact that they were registered users made coordinating their stays a seamless process. I have not had an occasion where TripActions was inappropriate to use.

TripActions is being used by our whole company for any travel needs. It's mostly utilized by flying sales reps. It addresses the problems of having to use multiple sites and services to book a flight, rent a car, or book a hotel. It's simple, clean, easy to use, and connects with your personal rewards programs for each transportation or hotel company.
  • Simple interface
  • Great, interactive customer service
  • Links to rewards programs
  • Sometimes navigating the trips page can be clunky
TripActions is great for having to book logistics for travel. Flights, rental cars, hotels, etc. If you are driving somewhere and do not need a hotel, there is no reason to use TripActions.

TripActions is used across our entire organization. In the past, we had a travel agency that helped book and manages travel for our company. Still, since moving to TripActions, it's empowered employees to handle and manage their own business travel with an easy-to-use platform. However, it also gives our admins the option to book trips for senior leadership.
  • Straightforward, user-friendly interface
  • Compiles all airline options for best selection
  • Make invoice/expense options more streamlined.
  • Improve the ability to book the same trip as colleagues.
TripActions is great for most things! Last minute work trips or planning things out in advance. Might be less appropriate for large grounds of employees taking the same trip. The ability to book hotel, airfare, rental car etc. is really vital.

At my previous company, we used TripActions to book and stay organized with travel. Whenever I had to change my flight, I spoke to their customer service team. Anyone that travels for the company uses TripActions by downloading the app and having all travel plans show up in an organized fashion. Once I found out I was getting Amazon cash, for merely traveling for work, I was genuinely hooked.
  • customer service
  • travel organization
  • I genuinely have no complaints of my time working with TripActions.
If you travel for work, TripActions is a must. Before, we used Concur Travel and Expense, and my travel plans were not all in one place (I had to search for the itinerary in my company email) It took a while to get a hold of anyone at Concur. In contrast, with TripActions, they have a customer service team that you can text within the app, and they are super attentive.

TripActions is one of the better, if not maybe the best expense tool/platform I've ever used. I would say that I have moderate/deep experience with 4 expense tools total, and TripActions is by far the most intuitive. The User Interface is extremely simple and very easy to navigate. I began using TripActions at my current company even after it was brought on (basically meaning I missed the training/demos from TripActions), and I had 0 difficulties picking it up.
  • The amount of integrations between different travel companies is great.
  • The simplistic UI.
  • Clarification around the Amazon bonus points.
  • A better explanation of Marriott rewards.
Similar to other expense tools, TripActions is an excellent fit for any traveling employees (Sales/Marketing/Support, etc..). Their mobile application is one of the best I've seen to date. It's surprisingly intuitive, and the feature parody between the actual desktop site and mobile app is excellent. You really will not lose too many features when switching back and forth (which is excellent when you're uploading expense files/pictures on the road).

TripActions is being used within my organization as a streamlining tool for booking travel. Whether it's a flight or a hotel, TripActions is essentially the only way we currently book any trips. I would imagine it puts everyone on 'level playing field' in terms of pricing (versus some folks using discounted flight websites versus some going directly with their own preferred airline). Within TripActions, my company is able to choose preferred hotels but also allows the users to upload any of their rewards accounts to match your searches with the best option for you (hotel rewards points, airline miles, etc.).
  • Searches multiple airlines and hotels at once.
  • Connects rewards points/airline miles to your individual account.
  • Easy to use interface.
  • Colleagues and I have noticed that if we're based in different locations, hotel prices (for the same hotel, in the same city) are listed at different price-points.
  • When booking a business trip for more than one person (myself and my spouse, for example, for a company-paid trip where the company includes our +1's), the itineraries are booked separately without notice.
For any company, this is a great way to streamline travel, ability to view who is traveling and when, as well as having all company travel booked on a company corporate card (without having to issue company-cards to each employee).

TripActions is currently being used by my entire organization for any trip related activities for the business. It simplifies the booking process by rewarding people for choosing specific rooms for a possible lesser price (thus saving the company some money and rewarding the person doing the traveling). It has worked wonders on reducing travel expenses for every member in the org (especially sales).
  • Links your various reward cards for travel.
  • Easy navigation of flights, rental cars and hotel rooms.
  • Claiming rewards are easy.
  • There should be no reason why a person with a specific rewards card to a hotel can ever not receive points towards rewards if booking through a 3rd party.
  • Should offer rewards for booked flights and car rentals, not just hotel stays.
  • Should offer rewards for personal trips too, not just business.
TripActions is well suited for all business travel within an organization. I believe it is geared more towards the revenue team and marketing team since they have the highest propensity for business travel. I do not think it is well suited for personal travel or if you want to upgrades depending on where your reward cards are to.

Having a worldwide business operation, our organization has a good amount of employees traveling every day. TripActions is an splendid tool we have over all departments. It helps to maintain lower cost, but more importantly, to have a friendly and efficient platform to book al travels including airfare, hotels and car rentals with interactive support, alerts, historic log and much more.
  • Cancelled travels. TripActions will support you either cancelling or rescheduling your whole trip.
  • Airlines. TripActions shows all available options which can be filtered as one needs.
  • All my club memberships in one place. The list of options will show the miles/points availability.
  • Traveling overseas? The system will advise you about any special requirement for the country you are going to.
  • Support 24/7!!!
  • Sometimes, not all flights available are shown.
  • TripActions could publish any available offer from airlines or hotels, especially for personal/leisure use.
  • A quarterly report of use would be nice to have.
Well suited: companies with more than 10 regular travellers. It is more efficient than a “travel agency” Less appropriate: organizations with small qty. of travelers or just a few travels.

We use Trip Actions to plan business trips in one central location. We book flights and hotel stays. We use it across the whole organization to collaborate on trip planning instead of using email or some other method.
  • Multiple people can work on the trip together.
  • TripActions has a very user-friendly design and interface.
  • I'd love to have a chat feature within the tool where we can tag other users.
We used TripActions to plan our yearly company trip for over 150 employees. The planning and execution went on without a hitch and we received no complaints from our employees regarding their experience with the tool.

Everyone in our company uses TripActions to book their travel. It is easy to use and the pricing for hotels/flights is really good. As the admin, I am able to see everyones' travel in TripActions and know where they are at any time. Another great feature is if my team books travel ahead of time, they can earn gift cards! The website shows which hotels or flights that will give them points and if they choose that hotel, they can earn Amazon dollars as a choice. This is a great tool to get them using TripActions!

The TripActions support is awesome!! If anything comes up where I need to make changes, I can click the chat button and have the TripActions team work on my needs. Even with booking in the UK, they are able to call the hotel for early arrival etc. Makes my job so much easier! No more holding on the phone for an airline to pick up. TripActions takes all that trouble and delivers great customer service!!

We can also use TripActions for our personal travel and get the heavy discounts it offers. Best travel site I have used and I've used several over the years.

You will LOVE TripActions!
  • I needed to change an existing flight and they did all the work for me to do this.
  • My boss needed early arrival in Sydney and they called the hotel and arranged this for me.
  • I needed to see if everyone booked their flights to our company meeting and was able to see everything easily.
  • I really don't have any cons, they provide excellent service
I think TripActions is great for any company, no matter the size. It has the best pricing for hotels and also keeps all the FF#s for each person so they can collect their points.

If I ever have any issues, my TripActions contact is quick to help me. Great service, great pricing, user-friendly website.

TripActions is used by all employees traveling on company business.
  • Concierge services are pretty effective overall...
  • The software allows for flexibility so that we can tune the "company policy" settings to find the right balance for us.
  • TripActions has very solid integration with Expensify and has made the expense reporting process much easier.
  • "Receipts" for hotels and car rentals don't include charges billed later (e.g. meal at the hotel, gas for rental car). If users are using that feature they need to submit a second invoice manually to capture that.
  • It doesn't connect to frequent flyer balance information - would be nice to see it in one place...
  • TripActions could integrate a product like Seat Guru to help travelers pick their seat.
TripActions is a great product for an organization that has at least several people traveling regularly... However, it is easy enough to use even for occasional travelers.

TripActions is being used across the whole organization globally. Last year alone, the company saved $60,000 in Travel & Expense budget due to TripActions! Not only are the employees and users incentivized by making money to purchase cheaper hotel/flight/cars, but the company gets to save thousands of dollars yearly. It's a true win/win!
  • Amazing uses of filters to tailor your trip to your personal preferences (time of departure, airline, location, etc).
  • User-friendly, easy to navigate and aesthetically pleasing.
  • Rewards for saving your employer money!!
  • Limited partnerships with all the major airlines, or if so, slowly just adding more airlines to their platform
  • Not a lot of information about the ratings of the hotels. I have stayed in hotels that I probably wouldn't have if their information was more up to date
TripActions is absolutely useful for any outside sales teams and companies that promote or offer a lot of travel. If the sales team travels as much as ours does, it's worth the investment. If travel is not something that most of your company has on a monthly to quarterly basis, I do not think that TripActions would be well suited for that environment.

Right now, we are piloting TripActions within a particular geography (US). The plan would be to roll out TripActions globally.
We use it as a centralized tool for travel booking. The primary business problems it solves are:
  • Centrally tracking travel spend, identifying levers for cost reduction and "high spenders."
  • Ease of booking with a corporate credit card.
  • Ease of use -- really nice interface and logical layout. Can do what I need to do (e.g., select flight seat).
  • Storing all my loyalty programs & key info (e.g., TSA pre-check number) in a single place, and automatically using this information wherever relevant.
  • Worst experience thus far has been having to wait for TripActions to hold with an airline (United) when a flight was canceled. I know this is likely out of their control, but it would be good to have better re-booking / flight change capabilities without having to contact the airline.
I am a happy end user, but not really able to comment on situations where it's less appropriate. I've been able to do almost everything I've needed.

[It's] Being used organizationally, it saves time for users booking travel, promotes economical decisions and rewards users with gift cards and the simplification of booking/organizing an itinerary.
  • Organizes itineraries by trip
  • Make it easy to understand what a "reasonable" trip should cost
  • Provides transparency between those booking and those reimbursing
  • More seamless integration with Southwest (changing/canceling bookings through SW)
TripActions is great for organizations where employees are responsible for booking their own travel!
